Chef Gordon C. Russell is a passionate, trend-setting chef. During his 30 year culinary industry career, he has received formal culinary training at the New York City Technical College, and holds a Bachelor of Professional Studies Degree in Human Services from the former Audrey Cohen College.
The chef is renowned for his Gordon’s Gourmet Quiche, which started with the Manly Meaty Quiche being made for friends and family. Chef Russell and the Manly Meaty Quiche have received great reviews in the Richmond Magazine best Eats and he has appeared on Virginia This Morning. The Russells were also featured on TV6 with Sheryl Brown as well as in local newspapers.
Chef Gordon has held positions as an Executive Chef, Culinary Vocational Trainer, Job Developer, and Counselor with agencies such as H.E.L.P. USA and the South Bronx Job Corp., both in New York. He was prominent in the development and implementation of Leo’s Cafeteria Training Program at United Cerebral Palsy of NYC
Chef G was also instrumental in implementing the commercial cooking and catering job training program for a non-profit organization on Staten Island, NY. This training program served the needs of homeless and recovering substance abusers. In addition to being a Food Service Manager for the New York Giants in 1988, he served as Food Service Manager for the Virginia State Dept. of Corrections in 2004.
